The Crack of Dawn
Just another example of why John is so annoying to most of us: “I was up at the crack of dawn… I don’t know why they call it the crack of dawn, it sort of slides in. So I was up at the crack of dawn… it looks like a crack through a window… and the birds were going nuts!”
Jesus, the guy just loves to hear himself speak.

AND I think this is the third or fourth day in a row that he has played this fiddler-potato thing!!!!

Right? KUT can be just like a commercial radio station sometimes, when they pick up on a particular artist that has an upcoming show or is becoming popular like this fabulous young fiddler, Ruby Jane, they just RUN WITH IT.
John has played her a couple of times a day all week as has Jay Trachtenburg. She’s good but damn, every day? Not just the music, but the interview with her as well.
During the last Johniday they were putting The Hold Steady on super heavy rotation.

Do any of you complain to KUT? I admit that I do not, but every time I hear his stupid comments, I scream and I almost drive right off the road! Before the year is over, when I contribute, I pledge to do so with a complaint about John.

I have a hard time believing that complaining will do any good, but you know, if all of us gave our contribution this year with a comment of some sort about John, perhaps someone would notice… although if we’re all giving money while complaining, I can’t see how they would want to change anything, ha ha.
I make my contributions during Left of the Dial on Friday night and I’ll mention my displeasure with John, perhaps others will as well.
